At the heart of The Potter's House is the belief that all children, regardless of background or creed, are worthy of God's love and our community's embrace.
That's our vision, and our programs are our hands.
The Potter's House believes that every child deserves a safe and stable home, with suitable housing, adequate clothing, and educational resources. Sadly, this is not the reality for most children and families living in our community, where a majority are at or below the poverty level, and over 90% are on free or reduced school lunch.
That's where your generosity and The Potter's House step in. Together, we're providing innovative solutions for families in crisis.
Through community outreach projects, we've delivered over 1,500 book bags with school supplies, and washed the feet of over 500 children while adorning them with new socks and shoes - and affirming them of their worth and value. We've delivered thousands of Christmas gifts and God's love through your continued compassion and support for our community.
We can only do all of this through all of you. We are so grateful for your community partnership and your Potter's House friendship!
The Potter's House provides these valuable resources to the most vulnerable in our community - at risk children - while connecting with local agencies including law enforcement, Department of Social Services, and our local domestic violence program.
We are also actively assessing housing instability and food insecurity for our most vulnerable population. We cherish our role as a foster and adoption
Children in our community who are caught up in the court system and in foster care need a trusted voice, a Guardian Ad Litem, to speak up on heir behalf. Our goal is to partner with the South Carolina Department of Child Advocacy to increase the number and quality of advocates in our area.
Children aging out of foster care are often on the precipice of homelessness, while lacking adequate life skills and resources. Our goal is to provide them with a life-skills plan, resources, and home goods to begin their journey of independence.
For many children, school lunch is truly their only nutritional resource. During summer and school breaks, the supply ends. Our goal is to fill in the nutritional need, through grant sources and fundraising.
